As a founding partner of the Refugee & Migrant Education Networt, SIMI promotes the participation at the international conference Initiatives in Refugee and Migrant Education to be held in presence at the Pontifical Gregorian University.

These past few years have highlighted the an alarming realities facing refugees and migrants.  The Covid 19 pandemic rocked this already vulnerable population, and, for the first time ever, the number of displaced peoples worldwide passed 100 million. Now that we have the opportunity to come together, we must!

The Initiatives in Refugee & Migrant Education conference will be the first major opportunity for universities, NGOs, and practitioners to come together since 2020 and begin to tackle the surmounting challenges facing displaced people and their educational opportunities. Together, colleagues will converge, collaborate, and create new initiatives to chart a course forward.
