É missionário da Sociedade do Verbo Divino (S.V.D.) e obteve o doutoramento em Sagrada Escritura na Pontifícia Universidade Gregoriana em Roma. É autor de vários livros e numerosos artigos, incluindo “Actos” em The Jerome Biblical Commentary for the 21st Century e What Does the Bible Say About Strangers, Migrants, and Refugees?
