Le révérend Daniel G. Groody est vice-président et vice-recteur de l’université de Notre Dame, où il est également membre et administrateur de l’université, et professeur associé de théologie et d’affaires mondiales. Il est prêtre catholique, religieux de Sainte-Croix, professeur primé, auteur et producteur de films.

Groody est l’auteur de nombreux livres et articles, traduits en sept langues, dont Globalization, Spirituality, and Justice: Navigating the Path to Peace (Orbis, 2007) et Border of Death, Valley of Life: An Immigrant Journey of Heart and Spirit (Rowman & Littlefield, 2002), ainsi que quatre livres édités ou co-édités. Il est également le producteur exécutif de plusieurs films et documentaires de renommée internationale, dont One Border, One Body: Immigration and the Eucharist, et Dying to Live: Le voyage d’un migrant.  Il termine actuellement un livre intitulé « Passing Over: Migration, Spirituality and the Eucharist ».
