On 18 – 21 July 2016 the 7th edition of the Summer School on Human Mobility and Global Justice titled, “A Sea of Hope. Forced migrants on Europe’s doorstep,” was held in Lampedusa. Organized by the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, in collaboration with the Scalabrini International Migration Institute (SIMI), the Migrantes Foundation and the Scalabrinian Agency for Development Cooperation (ASCS), the seventh edition of the Summer School offered interdisciplinary lessons, testimonies of support and service, workshops and guided tours.
